Winter 2012 Adult Life Enrichment Class Booklet with Registration Form now available!
The goal of Adult Life Enrichment is to offer classes and events with these values and balances: - Three terms of classes each year
- At least five courses or events per term
- A balance of appeal to all ages and life stages
- An opportunity for fellowship
- Outreach to the wider community
- A balance of intellectual, emotional, and experiential styles
- A balance of small, medium, and large events/classes
- New offerings as well as old favorites
- Classes that meet a wide range of schedules
- Variety that addresses mind, body, heart, and spirit
We invite your participation in the events listed below. - Classes are offered during the fall, winter and spring terms, for a six to eight week period, on a schedule determined by the teacher. Classes have a suggested donation.
- Workshops are one-time events, often offered on a Saturday morning. Workshops have a suggested donation that may include materials.
- Ongoing Affinity Groups are open and have a focus that participants share, for example, an interest in yoga, talking about books, graceful aging, or parenting teens. There are an infinite number of possibilities for ongoing affinity groups.
- Dances of Universal Peace: Multicultural ways to experience dancing, singing, chanting.
- T’ai Chi Chih: Joy through graceful exercise
- Book Group: Read and discuss all kinds of books.
- Women’s Discussion Group: Make friends and share interests of all kinds.
- Morning Practice: Walking, sitting, and journaling to begin the day.
For more information on Classes, Workshops and Ongoing Affinity Groups, click here: 2011 Fall ALE Booklet - Covenant Groups are groups of 10-12 people who meet on a regular basis with a trained facilitator for fellowship and spiritual journeying and exploration. Groups are formed three times a year with an opportunity to experience the format before committing to a year of meetings. Please tell our Administrator (Diane in the office) if you are interested in joining a group.
